Day #10 - February 23, 2020 - Guatemala Guatemala, a Central American country south of Mexico, is home to volcanoes, rainforests and ancient Mayan sites. Antigua, west of the capital, contains preserved Spanish colonial buildings. Lake Atitlán, formed in a massive volcanic crater, is surrounded by coffee fields and villages. Puerto Quetzal is a great port for commercial shipping. However, the majority of towns, population and activities are inland in the more temperate regions, rather than on the humid coastlines.
